Moene Nene is a celebration of how voicebank quality and standards have evolved since UTAU’s peak in the late 2000s/early 2010s. Her design mixes 2000s moe character elements, Crypton Future Media-inspired traits, and plant/farming notes — created to honor UTAU’s 16th anniversary. She is intended to replicate the experience of a young western UTAU fan growing up and getting better over time with each new voicebank released.
A cheerful, hardworking farmer who grows crops, Nene speaks in a Kansai dialect (like a Southern accent) full of slang. She’s brutally honest, endlessly kind, and obsessed with sweets—especially box cake. Nene's voice is waveringly confident and shows her joy with every note sung.
